I just bought a couple boxes of Kent faststeel 3" #4s. My stoeger m2000 and my mossberg 935 are having problems cycling them. Both guns are clean. My buddy has a 935 as well and they wouldn't cycle through his gun either. Anyone have the same problem?

Is the head of the shell where it is crimped bulged out at all? Don't shoot kents much but I've bought a box of xpert steel that did that. :dunno:

never had any problems with the hundreds of kent rounds that i have shot. had a couple misfire but never had a problem cycling them in my beneili and the only time i have had problems is when my gun was really dirty

I have shot them for years and they have always been good for me. Most the time I run them threw a pump but have run them threw a semi with no problems.

I don't know. Both of my guns are clean. My gun cycles other shells fine just not these kents. Maybe I got a bad box of shells??? :bash:

I'm thinkin maybe a bad box. I've heard a lot of good things about Kent. But every once in a while ya just get a lemon. :dunno:

I have never had a problem with kent faststeel. These rounds have been the most reliable rounds i have ever used.

The only steel I ever shot out of my 935 was kents and never had a problem with em. :dunno:

They should work fine. Shot many cases of them. Did have some hang up with some 3-1/2" #2 I was shooting for geese. I switched back to 3" and no issues.

The only problem that I’ve had with Kent shells is their inconsistency. One shell will have normal recoil, the next could be light recoil, the next could make your eyes water and rattle your teeth. It would be interesting to chronograph a box a see the velocity variation. I’d do that if I really cared but I don’t. Kent is overpriced for what you get; there are better shells to be had at lower prices.

Like I said I don't know.... This box just wouldn't cycle in my guns or my buddies 935. We tried them in his Spartan and they worked but the spartan has dual extractors. I've shot kents before and didn't have a problem. I just haven't shot them for about two years.

When I first started duck hunting I did have problems with them cycling. I have an 870. The problem was that I cocked my gun real slow then. Now I cock it at a normal speed and they work fine.

I may end up using my 870 supermag for this box and the last one I have. Got to be something with these shells. Thats three guns that won't cycle these. I'm going to have my other buddy with his extrema 2 try a couple to see if they cycle through his gun.

Kent are great shells and probably the best patterning shells I've shot.
Could it be the freezing weather playing tricks on your guns actions??? Funny how you AND your buddy both had trouble at the same time. Some oils get thick and slow in freezing temps.

Have heard of this issue! Kent shells don't cycle well through some people's shotguns. They run fine through mine! If your guns don't like them I would switch.
Remember that any gun even fresh from the factory is "unique". I have owned guns with factory defects. :twocents:

Ok shot up the first box of Kents with all kinds of jamming problems. The next box worked just fine. Had to be that box of shells as they hung up in three different guns. :dunno:

I've had some trouble with them ejecting from my 870.

Never had a problem with kents in my benelli M2. I've been shooting the cheap little all purpose loads and knocking the hell out of the ducks with em :tup:
