thinking skagit area any suggestions? been out 4 times in last two weeks and no birds and only 2 shots. getting frustrated.

well maybe friday then.

find a barley field unless the lake thaws,
really think Friday will be best, weather will come in after lunch and high tide will be about then, too
should blow them off the bays and make them look for food, shelter
good luck there are loads of folks out closing the season

yeah thats what i was thinking but all the fields are covered in snow and most of the sheet water is frozen. i don't mind hunting in this weather just not sure where to go or how to set up with no vegetation for them to feed on and no open water accessible.

Scott,
Try setting up where wind has brushed off areas in the field and exposed the vegetation. That could work in your favor as it concentrates their landing zones.
I have seen the old timers using fewer decoys last few times out as well.
Tomorrow will be great! ( I say that every time! )
