Title: Bella the puppy progress report
Post by: Goldeneye on January 21, 2012, 11:58:46 PM: Thought some of you might like to see a progress report on Bella the puppy. She's about 10 months old now. You might remember a thread on her progress that was going this last summer and fall. She's still learning from her mentor 12 1/2 year old Echo and myself. She did about a 150 yard retrieve on one of the birds today while we hunted a frozen over pond that I broke an opening in the ice for my decoys. Darn bird sailed on me and my jaw just dropped open at the speed of Bella as she had the bird pretty close to the time it hit the ground. Bella has wheels! Excuse the birds as I was more interested in working my girl than getting a limit. I could have had it had I not been in the open directing Bella. At least they are all big birds. Anyways here's picture of her doing what a lab is supposed to do. Be a bird dog...
