I have a pair of kenetrek mt extreems and I love them I bought them in July at Bobs sporting goods in Longview. I can't find my receipt and they started leaking while I was in idaho in nov. I love the boots I wore them on my sept elk hunt and never had a single sore spot on my feet. And all of deer season. Just wondering how kenetreck is about replacing boots cause they leak. I know several people who have had there's for years with no problem so this must just be a freak thing??

Call them and explain your story. I'm sure they will take care of you. They have replaced boots for friends.
-
Never had any of my pairs leak. Where is the leak at? I take it you didn't freesole the seams like they suggest? They do have a very good return or exchange policy
-
I didn't feesole them because it never said anything about doing that to them in the stuff I got with them. The rubber around the toe on my left boot is separating. I have never dried them by a fire only on a low heat boot dryer! I use a gortex approved grease. I don't know?? Just hope I can get a new pair!
-
Do as sky suggested, and freesole your next pair.

I have had mine for five years, great boot. Sent them into have them resoled, fix a small tear. They fixed the small tear and resoled them and sent them back to me all for $100.00 dollars. They request you to send them to a repair shop near the distribution/ outlet location, think the name was Carters boot repair, don't quote me. Mine have finally have been starting to leak a little around the lace grommets, but very minor after all these years and abuse. Never ever had a boot last this long and maintain it's waterproofing this long under the conditions I put them through. :twocents:

Would one of you guys explain "freesole" please?

It's goopy black stuff in a tube that you apply around the whole rubber seam of the boot that works wonders.
-
I have a buddy that returned his for the same reason. Quick turn around, and he did get a new pair.

Sweet. I gotta get some of that. I'm assuming it's not just a Kenetrek thing?
-
Nope. Works well on many things.
-
Is there a brand name for the black goopy stuff in a tube? Where can we get it?
