a guy gave me a box of 87 gr. sierra bullets in 25-06.  what is a good powder for target practice and what is a good powder for hunting.  please help me with the amount of powder.  i am seeking recipes.     thanks,  mike w

Check out hodgons powder :tup: they have a online load data area that's free and has lots of great loads and info.

As far as practise powder and hunting powder. Use the same for both they all cost about the same :tup:

if it were me, Id make one load for both and be done with it.

Those 87's are great for coyotes, but a bit over cooked for deer. I have had good success with Imr 4831 around 55-58grs.
