Title: Ballistics calculator anyone?
Post by: Todd_ID on January 28, 2012, 04:00:00 PM
I'm hoping someone on here can give the results of a ballistics calculator run of the following:

.50 Beowulf
400 grain slug (of really poor aerodynamics)
1675 fps at muzzle
16" barrel
2.250" from center of sight to center of barrel
sighted in at 100 yards with no +/- high or low

What would the hold-over adjustments be like for 25, 50, 150, 200, 250, 300?

The ballistics of a rock.  ;)

I ran your numbers with a 400gr Woodleigh FN as the base projectile. BC of G1 0.182

Drop is measured in inches.

25- +0.30

50- +0.79

100  -0-

150- -5.59

200- -17.00

250- -35.64

300- -62.33
