Title: King Co. bull?
Post by: hunterofelk on January 30, 2012, 09:12:51 AM
Any gossip, rumor or the God's honest truth about the near 400 bull taken by muzzleloader in King Co.?  Was it one of those elk that hang around the North Bend golf course?

I don't know anything except it wasn't a watershed bull, those permits are for rifle only. The mucks did take a very big bull out of the seattle watershed this year that was about  that size, I would be very suprised if it was with a muzzy though.

That bull was huge, i think it scored like 390 something.  I saw it at the show this weekend and it was an absolute hog!

The one I posted was not shot by the land owner. The land owner had a muzzy tag but could not connect during the muzzy season, he called me up to get picks in his pasture the day after the season ended.

A friend of ours was lucky enough to tag the bull during the rifle season, and no it was not baited as some have suggested.

This is the "Wire Bull" I posted in the other thread guys. He got pissed off and ripped up one of the neighbors horse hot wire fences, he packed it around for quite a while.

The image is kinda decieving as it is bigger than this image makes it look but I don't think 398. :chuckle:

I know for sure a Indian shot a 390 bull in the watershead that is closed to public hunting. My buddie and a local taxidermist put their hands on it. he shot it the last few weeks of sept with a rifle. He should put it in the head and horns comp he is the MAN...... (sarcasm):bash:

Yup closed to hunting for the white man, they also get to log in there.  Liberal seattle gave into them a few years ago, I have an uncle that works in the shed.

Niether of those bulls are the one I got a picture of. The pic I got says its a 398 bull and the new record for washington muzzleloader. Its a 7 by 8 but does not have dark horns like a bull from that area would presumably have. ( it says it was killed in enumclaw)

I saw it at the show, and it was quite impressive that such a stag could be found so close to Seattle.

Talked to the guy who shot it at spotco when he came on to get the gun he won at the sportsman show. Did't see a pic but he said it scored 396 and shot it somewhere above enumclaw in 454. The guy that shot the bull with the wire also won a gun and I talked to him. His was taken modern firearm and scored 369.

I'm not sure who you spoke with but the guy that tagged the wire bull has not won anything, he didn't even go to the show.

It's to bad he wasn't able to get it to the show.  I told him he would have taken the cake.
