Post by: enaz on February 13, 2012, 07:02:37 AM: they were all from the same area, All within a mile of the salt water. That first buck was from 2 years ago, and has the biggest frame I've ever seen! The buck with the funky nostril and eye had been beaten on bad. In fact most of the bucks we saw were limping, bleeding, or looked pretty roughed up. The second post.... I followed that first buck and was taking pictures when he stopped in his tracks and headed the other direction, I think the buck in the second pic of the 2nd post was the one who gored his eye out. I was about 10 yards when I noticed him starring through the brush at me. He was grunting and snorting, so I snapped a pic through the brush and got outta there. I wanted to keep both my eyeballs.

I have a blast chasin em around during the rut and gettin pictures. Some sheds would be cool, I'm goin out this week to see if any have dropped.

Post by: enaz on February 22, 2012, 07:15:23 PM: I went to this area today and looked for sheds for 4 hours with no luck :bash: Saw lotsa bald bucks and only 2 still packin. I had high hopes but got skunked. There's plenty of ground to cover so I'm going back again soon.

I saw one of the biggest 4x4 blacktails in my life. He had a spread and height on his horns like a big mulie!
