The wife and I pulled the trigger and picked up a 2011 Tacoma TRD Sport. The midsize is perfect for us as we do live in Seattle and our carport would never support a full size.
Rims and tires soon, although not sure what I want yet.

Can't go wrong with a Yota! Nice Truck!
-
Sweet!!!
My 96' Tacoma just keeps going. Your baby will probably be at least 18 before she leaves the house!

We drove the Frontier as well, but once we drove this truck it was over. My wife even fell for it!
-
Great trucks! I have the trd off road and love it. There are a couple of changes I would make, but so far its the truck ive had the least complaints with.
-
Nice truck..

Nice rig... I have an 08 model. I put on a 4 inch lift and 33 inch tires and 74,000 miles...
Tough to sleep in but do-able.
-
What length bed does that rig have. I like the looks of it.
-
It is the 6 foot bed, which was a bonus to us. I really like the color and the trim package. Plus, we got full warranty for 100,000 and the truck itself only has 7,200 on it now. We did opt to add lo-jack for peace of mind. We knew once we were going to buy a truck it was going to be with us for a long time, hence the reason we added the extras.
TheHunt, what kind of lift did you get and how did it affect ride? I want to lift it (not a ton) as it will spend 80% of it's time as a pavement princess, but I would like a little bigger tire. I know it will stiffen up a bit. I will not be doing any true "off-roading", but I would like the added clearance. I will be hitting some forest roads but noting too demanding.
Plus, any new toy, you want to put your own stamp on :IBCOOL:

I was so disappointed that toyota didnt bring out the tacoma for '12 equiped with a diesel. I would have been out of my chevy like a shot.
-
:yeah:
Quad cabs are great you'll love it. Its funny that you mention that washelkhnter because they have made a coal roller for a long time. The first company that gets the big D in thier mid-small P/U is going to sell a bunch of them. the Toyota Hilux is essentially a diesel Tacoma.

Congrats!!

damn nice rig, this may have been said but stay with the original tires and wheels, save the money and go buy a new rifle or a couple of fishn rods, those tires and wheels look great, dont fix it if it aint broke, i had a 98 tacoma trd and put differant tires and wheels on it and it seemed to affect my gasmileage a little bit, i traded it in on a new tundra, wow what a sweet ass truck but i damn sure aint gonna trade out the tires and wheels, hopefully i will be getn the new foxpro ecaller with the money i am gonna save :IBCOOL:

taller tires affect gear ratio, less affected with auto trannies, wider tires affect mileage a TON. I run 33-9.50x15 just for the mileage.
-
Sweet truck!...... 8)

Nice lookin rig man!

I looked into converting my 94' 4Runner and they want $16000 to do a full swap. The company is in Bend,OR, you can look it up on youtube

I really want one of these! Nice looking ride!
-
nice looking truck, what kind of mileage do those yota's get
-
I am averaging about 16.5 MPG in mixed driving. I have taken it out on a couple of highway trips and I average about 19 on the highway. I do get into it a little bit (old Subaru Impreza habit)
