"The fight is on and the NRA is ALL IN!" says NRA CEO and EVP Wayne LaPierre at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C. "When the sun goes down on election day," he says, "Barack Obama will have America's gun owners to thank for his defeat."

Wow, I'm shocked... I was thinking he had a a shot at their endorsement :chuckle:
-
With political leadership changing every 2-8 years, with possibility of either party being in control...wouldn't it be to their advantage to try just stick to lobbying rather than taking sides? :dunno: There are plenty of democrats out there who support gun ownership. Sure there are a bunch who oppose guns, but if you add up the right and the middle, you still have the majority. Don't think gun ownership is going to go away any time soon.

Hope, Change, and the NRA? "NOT!"

I saw the title in Recent Topics and thought there was a new No S**t! Board :chuckle:

Taking sides against obama isn't exactly taking sides. It's just a tactical strike.

LaPierre makes some pretty strong statements. I am convinced LaPierre is correct in thinking Obama will go for our guns in his second term, he has the court stacked and only needs another justice or two to control the vote. :bash:

Do you think he will go after our guns? I was thinking that they will go after our ammo first. I guess it is one in the same. >:(

I don't know when it starts or if it's true, but didn't they want to make powder have a limited shelf life?
-
I have no idea what they would do to make that possible other than a misleading label and date. I'd think there'd be billions spent to fight that.

There was talk a while back about primers that would be made of a chemical that decompsed over time, so they would only fire within the first few years after purchase.
