My brother in-law just had his 3rd heart attack last night, this year he was just getting into hunting. He would come out and shoot bows with me and was really enjoying it. After his sister(aka my wife) shot her first deer this year(with a bow too) he really started upping the practice and wanting to go. After they opened him up again the doc does not think he will be able to pull back a bow due to his pectoral muscles being separated, he was having some issues with it before but now having them cut apart again just doesn't think it will happen. With his birthday coming up I was thinking of getting him a decent crossbow; but I don't know much about them and just started researching them. Any advice?

after doing some looking I am thinking a barnett, fits the budget pretty well and I dont see any bad reviews on them. Oh and I just noticed I put this in the wrong spot please move, sorry head is still kinda spinning from being in the hospital most of the day.
