I have been looking for places that are public access around Wenatchee to go hiking for sheds. I have found that most access is not public and especially since my truck is on the other side of the mountains and i only have my car over here while i go to school its hard to get into some areas i would like. Any suggestions would help thanks fellas.

Pick a hill and start hiking....there is more public land over hear than just about anywhere in the state. Where have you been looking that is all private?

Around the town of wenatchee mainly. I wasn't sure if you can just park on the side of the road on the way towards entiat and start up those canyons. :dunno:

Try the malaga unit, from the river up :dunno:

There's a lot of big bucks up there.
And you know what they say about big bucks..
Big bucks leave big sheds ;)

True Story!

You can always hike saddle rock or castle rock and then just go beyond the maintained trail? Malaga unit is always a good one. Birch Mountain....etc, etc. Go to the forest service and buy map it will show you what is private and what is not. Good Luck

Swakane canyon just north of town past rocky reach dam. Nice and steep

ALL private any where near Wenatchee! Way better just to cruise up to Entiat where ALL the big bucks are. Good luck.
