Searched around a bit and could not find the answer to my question, maybe i was too specific but does anyone know if you can still hunt the power lines by hwy 9? Couldnt find anything on the wdfw website. Looks to be some roads that can access it off lake cavanaugh RD with a little hiking?

You'd have better luck hunting around c-post. :chuckle:
-
Hey! Don't spread the word on C-Post! That's H20hunter's hunting spot. He doesn't want any more traffic up there... :-X
-
Ah...you beat me to it. I'm dying to get back up and check my c-post cam. had good luck there last year.
-
Sorry boys.
-
Whatever....with the extra pheasant releases happening at c-post this year it will be even more crowded. Doesn't matter. Both bears I got out of there last year were worth it.
-
Yeah that 450 pound color phase you got was a pretty bear.
-
Never been around C-post but have heard quite a bit about it. Might have to try it
-
C-post is my go to....let me try and post a few pics for your from last year scouting....
-
Here you go traxx......some sweet c-post trail cam pics from last year....
-
To bad that's a bear you should be passing on at c-post a bigger one should be just around the corner.
-
Dude...that IS the smaller one I passed on!
-
LOL!!!
-
6x6....I know....right.
I saw that sucker quiet a ways away from my apples but knew he was a bit on the small side for c-post.
-
Good of you for letting him grow up. He'll be there for years to come. :chuckle:
-
I'll tell ya 6x6.....I was surprised last year. I knew cpost was a sweet spot but...you know....such a great area.
-
It absolutely amazes me the vast amount of accessible area with tons of game. I'm dumfounded as to why nobody hunts there.
I seriously cannot remember the last time I saw another hunter. Even the road hunters are absent. Weird.
I should shut up now. This quiet little spot will be no more if we keep this up. :(
-
I don't know why you guys are laughing c-post is no laughing matter.
-
I'm not laughing.....ask Goldeneye.....he was there last year when I went all postal on the guys on the atv that were back there. I was working on a stalk on a big ol chocolate bear...the one you saw when we were scouting....and he came roaring up. As fast as I drew down on that SOB was about as fast as he drove out!!!!
-
I'm not laughing now.
I'd be really pissed if h2O posts the GPS coordinates. That's just wrong!!!
-
Getting off topic here guys.....Traxx.....got any favorite spots up there.....we can compare notes.
-
Go to the Snohomish county assessors website and find who owns the property.

that's nit going to help any we already told him where to go.
-
Yeah

Wonder if bowhunter ever hunted up around C-POST :chuckle: :dunno: The picture of the bear with apples :dunno: watch out for the investigators :chuckle: I post a mounted duck I shot and mounted and they all over me :dunno: :o :bdid:
-
I'm not worried......what happens at c-post stays at c-post!!!!!
-
You can do all kinds of hunting up there. The duck shooting was pretty good late in the season. I did best when the snow was on the ground. Those ponds really produced.
-
I like the pic with your new puppy, the couple ducks, and the scenery in the background. We were just talking about that up at Hawkeyes when we all go together.
-
believe me I worry about nothen :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
meh i heard some guy shot a bigfoot in there. :dunno:
-
In their?
Their what?
ps......glad you know we are jacking with you. I think power line corridors are off limits unless you have written permission from the utilities company for access. I've seen atv/bike tracks underneath some but don't believe it is legal to access. granted...if you are far enough back and hiking public land or feel free to hunt type stuff and come across a corridor i wouldn't sweat it. anything that close to 9 i'd stay out of. I know some area have permit access for grazing but don't think anything else.
-
So the guy comes on here asking a liget question and now two pages of C-post BS......nice.
I believe it all depends on the location of the powerlines. Some yes....some no.
Glad you finally got around to an answer H20.
-
meant there haha.
I did some research on the wdfw go hunt thing and found some open land, not much but some. Atleast i think we can still hunt state land?
-
Soon as I saw the comment about bigfoot I knew we had a player. I do like to keep it light and yes I jack with some folks. Most of my cpost bs posts are followed with a PM with an attempt at helpfull info. A gate here, a road there for some starting points, stuff like that.
-
Regarding state land.....I really think it all depends on how the access points are posted. I've seen plenty of access points with no trespassing sighs and think if you park there and walk in your gonna get busted.
