We had the whole boat stripped down to bare metal and than powder coated in blue and hammered gray along with the trailer in hammered gray finish. We put in brand new fishon seats for the front and back and a new rowers seat. We added a fish box under the rowers bench in a hammered gray powder coat finish and what boat would not be complete with out some new cataract 10' oars. What a pain in the A$$ but the boat looks brand new and so far its the only one I have seen that is completely powder coated!

Looks great. I'll be starting a similar project as soon as I'm back to work full time. I have basically the same boat, a 2005 Alumaweld. Needs some luvin'. I'm thinking about having Workskiff in Sedro do a "swirl job" on it like their workboats. Reminds me of fish scales. I thought it would also be unique and cool looking. A friend of mine owns Line-X in Chehalis. Was thinking about having him shoot the inside with Line-X. Any thoughts on that? Pro's con's?I thought about linex too but wasnt sure how hard it would be to clean... also how much weight would that add? that was my other concern. It would be kinda cool though

Couldn't be all that much. They say a gallon of the roll on/paint on bedliner does a pick up truck bed, that's about what, 10lbs??

HG I have the inside of my big sled with some sort of bed liner on the floors and I love the stuff! it works great but it can be a pain in the A$$ to clean if you cant clean it after an outing. As far any thing that came up while we were redoing the boat there was no real big issues. If you are going to redo the bottom of your boat with the bed liner and your buddy is going to do it than you should not have any problems he will know how to prep the aluminum. The first time I did the bottom of my sled we prepped the floors and than let them set for a few days and they oxidized which caused the liner on the bottom to come up. But I had a shop do all the work to the floors when we redid them and they look killer!
