So, I sent my Mesa 10x50mm binos off to Leupold the other week to fix two busted eyecups. I have had these binos for probably 5 years or so and use them constantly when I go hunting.
Today, I recieved in the mail, a brand new pair, with case, straps and lens covers. I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to Leupold for service that was above and beyond what was expected.
Thank you Leupold, you have a customer for life.

i boxed my same binos up yesterday to send them in today. one broken eye piece and on side wont focus. sounds like great news, good to here for me also lol! did you have the paperwork saying you were the original owner? that is one thing i dont have and was worried about but i called them and they said no problem.
-
I may have sent in the warranty slip when I bought it...not sure to be honest, so it may be on their record, might not.
Good luck with yours as well.
-
Just sent a pair of binos in myself, one eye cup was not working right. Leupold is second to none if you ever have to deal with any problems.
-
Ha speak of the devil. The wife just walked in with a box from Leupold. I sent in my Olympics that were 10x50 but they are not making them anymore so they sent me a upgrade to the Mojave 10x50
CAN'T BEAT LEUPOLD!!!!!
I am kinda sad to not get my bino's back. They went on many many hunts and traveled to many states and countries with me.
-
Awesome! I was almost sad too, not to get my originals back...they were dirty and beat up...
but I guess I will have to make due.
-
Yeah these ones are very nice. I have played with them a few times today. They are very nice and only 2 oz more then my old pair.

carp I tried getting my old spotter back instead of them trashing them and nikon said they would send it back to me! :IBCOOL: if I sent the new spotter back to them :bash:

:chuckle: Figures :chuckle:
I can't even think how many thousand's of animals I have looked at with those bino's! Then have been around my neck for probably close to a 100 animals. A lot of history with them, oh well time to break in the new ones. Coyotes did not want to play yesterday so I had to switch gears and get me a couple of porcupines yesterday. I got to take out one of the newer members of the site as well. Even though he could not shoot because he has not got his stuff for washington yet. Made about 40 bucks with a medium sized one and one dandy. Nice hair on both but the big one was close to 3/4 of a ounce with hair up to about 10-10.5".

Decent glass for the money, and they do take care of their customers. The eye cups are the common problem with Leupold Binos. I had three pairs repaired on my Olympics 12x50s. A friend has a pair of gold rings and same problem.
-
sent in my Olympic 12x50 bino's to get a broken eyecup fixed and 3 weeks later I had a brand new pair of Bino's on my door steps no questions asked. Can't beat that.
-
What is the average amount of time it takes to get them back :dunno:

They say 2-3 weeks. Mine that I just got back took 10 days.

Got mine back in bout 10 days too...

I sent my cascades in last year with a broken eye piece and they sent me back a brand new pair also. To bad a month later the eye piece on the new ones broke off after falling off my lanyard. I put them in a box to ship back to leupold and now can't find the box!
-
I have a big black spot in the side of my variXII scope when looking in from the front, need to send that baby in....
-
Send it in! They will fix it up, well they will probably just send you a new one :chuckle:
-
I sent my cascades in 9 days before elk opener...i called them first and asked if they could have them done before my opener amd they said send them in....2 days later i had a brand new pair on my door step :IBCOOL:

-
Same thing they just did for me  I sent in the olympics and they sent me the Mojave. They are very nice as well. They are just a tiny bit more weight then my old pair but I don't mind.

I have a Leupold scope on my 300wsm that was acting up. I shot continuously testing loads at the bench with it and all of a sudden one day, the loads that gave me tight groups in the past would give me a flyer about 12" out of normal pattern. I checked my mounts and everything looked good so I sent the scope in to have checked. One week later, I recieved a new-in-the-box Leupold to replace the one I sent in. They claimed it had some collumation problems so they just replaced it. It must be cheaper for them to replace them than tear them apart and fix them. My dad had a problem with one of his scopes too which, he couldn't get the crosshairs to adjust far enough to get to the bullseye before he ran out of adjustment. He sent his in and got a new one back too. Leupold scopes are all I put on my hunting rifles. Their warranty is phenomenal!
