Don't know the exact history of this bull, but he has hung on the wall of Dan Bailey's Fly Shop in Livingston, Montana since I can remember. Mid 1970's. Someone there once told me the skull cap was split so the score can't be official. I'm just guessing he came out of Yellowstone Park one cold morning and was killed by someone forgotten now. When I was a kid I would wander into the shop and just stare at this old guy. Right next door was a taxidermist shop I spent some time in too.

I'm getting a little sentimental. Here is Main Street small town USA. We use to go hunting only twenty minutes from home.

Oh, heck I'll give it a try. Not good at this but.............. Lots of length, 3rds are nice, pretty good width, only thing lacking is mass. Trouble is, I don't know what percentage the mass measurement gives to overall score. I'd say he is 340-350 ???
-
360
-
Yeah I would say somewhere between 350 & 360 ...
-
I'd say 355
-
he's over 370
-
he's got 3 2/8 deductions, makes him 368 5/8
-
no way to tell in a photo, but he's real big....
great moose right next to him too...
I will guess 380
-
360ish.. would love to have grown up in an area like that and hopefully will live in a area like that someday. my dream is to someday to be able to sit on my front porch and watch a bull like that grazing in the front 40
-
no idea about score, all i care about is where is that town and when can i move in?

Are you frigging blind Norse?
At least 3 and 6/8's deduction. Jeesh!
-
I would see no problems with that bull hitting 360"
-
John Bailey, Dan Bailey Fly Shop founder, harvested that bull in the late '60's in the Crazy Mountains, which is the mountain range in the back drop of the photo above.

349 Is there a prize for the winner?
-
I love livingston, cool little town. Ill have to stop in that fly shop next time im there. I was in big timber this weekend, another cool town.
-
No prize, sorry. Just wanted to share. Unless someone from the store has scored it, I don't know. My guess is somewhere around 360. If the bull grew more mass, it might have made the book. Livingston is a windy town, but Big Timber takes the cake. Actually the mountains in the background are the Absaroka Mountains and the closest one is Livingston Peak. Climbed the peak
many times in my youth. Greatest view up there.
-
I recognized that background right away, lived in Bozeman 76 - 88, love that area!
-
I've been in that store many times. Did some work in Livingston between 2007 and 2009. Great place!

-
365+
-
im going to say right at 362
-
Not much mass be lucky to get 28" per side, but equally impressive length and spread I guess at 48", average 15" per point. I'll guess at 375.
