Anybody use this on there guns? And does it work? Also, has anyone used there recoil pads?
-
I use and like the Sims recoil pads.
-
im sure they work as advertised, but it looks like something that could ruin fine balance.

Maybe if you're shooting off hand, I think most of us use some kind of stix or bipods anymore, in that case you shouldnt notice any ballance issues I would think. :twocents:

I've always been really skeptical about the de-resonator........I dont see how some rubber makes any difference but thats just me :twocents:

I agree. First of all, they look rediculous like some kids toy. Second, how inaccurate actually is anyones rifle? I dont see any rifle makers putting them on new guns... Are you telling me, that at 300yards, this rubber "ga-boinger" is helping me? I can already hit a pop can at 300 yards. Don't waste your money, and don't make yourself look foolish.
Sorry.

The recoil pads are awesome!!

The resonators have been used in some of the bench rest shooting, mainly 22LR competition for some time. Bill Calfee is a big supporter of them and I think they work for that use. IMO, a big waste of money for a hunting rifle.

Plus they look stupid...

I put both on my sons tikka 270wsm because he is 13 shot it last week and it is very smooth thru the shot. My older son has same gun in 300wsm without recoil pad or de-res from limbsaver he could not shoot last week with us so this weekend we can see if there is any difference in how the 2 guns shoot and feel. But like I said the 270wsm kicks no harder than my 280's with the 2 limbsaver units on

IMHO the best on the market. Never used the little thingy that goes on the barrel though.
-
I use the recoil pad on all of my guns, except .22. They take a lot of the sting out of my 300WSM and tame the short and light Model 600 .308. Really shine on my wifes H&R 12GA single shot though!

Dose it help at all shooting off hand?
-
Free floating your barrel will do more for accuracy than a rubber shock boot. ;)
-
Just got a recoil pad and it ROCKS. My shoulder is very appreciative.
-
I noticed that Guy Eastman has one on his 30-378.

I put the recoil pad on my girls rifle.Best money spent. They actually ask to go to the range now.
