I have only been around a few honda's. The owners seemed to like them. I run the cx40 on my bowfishing boat and it is a machine! No place I cant go and in thick milfoil as well. it has been a trooper so far!

00ps, i was referring to a generater, but any thoughts on boat stuff will be read , i am sure. mike w

What are we discussing? Boat motors, quads, dirt bikes....?

Beat me too it. Quite a bit of difference in generators. Honda can't be beat. :twocents:

I prefer Yamaha on my boats. Thats being said I own several Honda engines, 2 5hp lawn mowers, 1 5hp shrimp/crab pot puller, 1 line trimmer, 1 generator and sold my Honda Accord after putting 390K on it, they all start with little effort and have never had a issue. :twocents:

:chuckle: Yeah I did not know what we were talking about, boats are the only one I have dealt with both motors on.

:yeah:
Yamaha for the boats, I don't like my Honda as much!
I do have a Honda powered pressure washer which has been pretty reliable.

It depends on what type of generator. The inverter generators are comparable. Just depends on the size and what you want to run. The Honda and Yamaha Inverter generators are both very popular with the RV community. I have a Honda EU3000is. Very quiet and fuel efficient.

If Yamaha makes something I'm shopping for thats what I buy. I've had their outboards, quads, dirtbikes, generators, ect. None of my Yamaha products have ever spent a second in a repair shop.
Honda makes excellent stuff as well. I'm just loyal to Yamaha until they give me a reason not to be.
My 2400watt Yamaha generator has been superb.
