Title: Apple Bratwurst
Post by: dogtuk on March 16, 2012, 09:13:49 PM
Hello Everyone
I have not posted anything for a long time been very busy the last few months and I am now able to start playing and smoking my own meats and sausages
So today I did 15 pounds of Apple Bratwurst and they turned out great they are really good sausages and I used a mix from midwestern research I used 70/30 elk/pork butt and the apple Bratwurst seasoning mix I stuffed them into 32mm hog gut
I will be ordering more of this stuff and trying other products of theirs

Looks good Huey, I'm going give that a try. I'm out of elk so I'll have to go straight pork.

that's awesome. My wife likes to buy this chicken sausage that is apple flavored and it's really good.  I'll have to try it with my next batch of sausage making.  Just got done with 25lbs of pepperoni and 12 pounds of german sausage.
