Title: Tuning carbon shafts for a longbow
Post by: quadrafire on March 19, 2012, 06:48:21 PM
I have some new unfletched shafts that I need  to get busy on. I was gonna bareshaft test some. Can I glue in my insert then cut from the back of the shaft if needed. I have used plastic wrap around the insert for a temporary fix, but have lost some in the target when pulling.
Any thoughts?

If they have the push in pull out nocks you want to bareshaft and cut from the back if you have your inserts glued in.

Use hotmelt on your inserts... if you need to cut then all you do is stick the end in hot water and then pull out the insert.
