OK whats the best long range bi pod going ? I know that there's a few long range guys out there and I'm curious what bi pods your using.
-
I've tried pretty much most of them out there and I keep a pile of Harris Bipods for some reason. In my opinion, it is hard to beat a Harris with the tilt, notched legs and Pod-Lock installed. This is for all all around shooting, varmints and big game.
-
Other than weight, Harris is hard to beat for prone.
-
Ive used harris and had good luck, but would like to find a lighter alternative for my back country rifle :dunno:
-
Snipepod is probably the lightest but takes some getting used to.
-
Anyone use the Primos Trigger Sticks....I have messed with them in the store...seem good and easy to use, the only thing I have heard bad is they dont work so smooth in really cold weather.
-
I find it hard to fault a Harris. When I shot with magic szerbiak, who is a precision rifle coach and the best all around shot i have seen, he was all about the versa pod.
-
I've used Harris and still do on my 280 but on my 30-378 I just use my pack
-
Trigger sticks by primos are ok, but you have to predetermine if you are going to shoot standing or a sitting position. I always find that if i have one kind i'll need the other. :twocents:

I have a harris so thats good. I also use a trigger stick while still hunting .
-
I shoot off my harris bipod out to 1600 yards and it works for me

Not to thread jack, but I have a follow up question. On the harris bipods are the feet free to rotate?
I have a cheaper bipod, bought it over 10 years ago. When I put forward pressure on the bipod the feet just rotate and allow the thing to walk forward, which is a huge problem for me.
