i looked in the fishing regs but couldnt find if its leagal or not to use minnow/fish traps, im pretty sure its illeagle but i wanted to make sure?

I asked the same a while back and the answers I got were "live bait is illegal" and wait till you get salmon molt in there. I think it's a grey area really, but why not ask the wdfw.   :dunno:

illegal to use live fish for bait in freshwater here.  the reason for that is because of the bucket biologists releasing goldfish, shiners etc that screw up the lakes.

 :yeah: I miss using minnows for crappies! I for sure understand why no live fish are allowed for bait. It is a must in this state.
