Conflatulation!

His freaking neck is huge. Nice rack, hope your mt. is worth the wait. Seem's like the longer you wait patientlly, the better they turn out. PS> most of the time.

Should be a great mount, thanks all. Little FYI too, I took it to Stewart's for processing and had carefully cut the cape around the front haunches, so all they had to do was peel a little back off the neck, hide intact. I told them several times that I was doing a shoulder mount as soon as I walked in the door. Before I realized what they were doing, they made a slit up the FRONT of the cape :yike:
I had to pay an extra $75 to the taxidermist to repair the damage.

Ouch....a slit up the front of the neck. I would've gone ape sh.t! :mor: Your Taxi assured you he could fix it? That was an awesome Blacktail....look forward to seeing it done.
-
Peters Taxidermy (in Graham) does great work, they take for frigging ever, but it's worth it. If anyone can fix it, I think they can (I hope).
-
It can be fixed. Takes a little more time to repair so it won't show.
-
Shoot, half the mounts I do have the brisket slit up to the base of the neck. Simple fix but time consuming. I charge $5.00 an inch for buchered capes like that. You should have kicked them in the nuts Dman!
-
Yeah it's a pretty simple fix as long as it's not cut all jagged. It still takes time! Time that you or I could be spending on another project.
It's an unnecessary repair that should never have to be made! :twocents:
