Title: Old Goat looking for Podner (Blacktail & Bear Wetside)
Post by: Sideswipe on March 27, 2012, 08:47:28 PM
71 yr-old hunter who wants a podner to hunt Blacktail & Bear on Wetside.  I mostly still hunt or stand hunt.  Use leverguns in traditional calibers (35, 45-70, 450).  Prefer to get up close & personal (100 yds or less).  Have a Jeep to get there but don't road hunt.  I am committed to split the meat w/podner no matter who shoots it.  Don't like poaching or bending the rules.  Don't care what type of weapon podner uses.  I am available 2 or 3 days/wk & weekends.  Share gas $.  Know a few areas in Snohomish/Skagit/Whatcom counties. I am a Bible Thumper but don't push it on others.

Sorry about missing your post on the apple situation up at c-post. I was just up there yesterday and spoke with the apple folks in charge of things of an appley nature. The crop this year is going to be very abundant. They were trying to get a head start by simply putting apples on the ground. This in turn will encourage the trees to produce more fruit if they "sense" that the fruit has already fallen.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
