Ordered her into the store so i can look at her this week, but if she locks up nice and points the right direction......she might come home with me to be my little rabbit killer.

I thought we were just talking about your gun spending money :chuckle:

The cool thing about buying a $3k gun..... all the other guns all the sudden dont look so bad to her. lol
-
HAHAHA love it I might have to test that out :chuckle: Oh wait I have :'( :chuckle:

Nice old Saurer. There are a bunch of Saurer, Merkels, Simpsons, Husqvarnas and a slew of Spanish and Belgium doubles on the market here in the states now. I picked up a nice Darne(French) and a Husky 51 hammer gun. They are my new upland and waterfowl guns now.

Got to see it yesterday. It is pretty beat up but there is only one little ding in the barrels and it locks up tight. I'm going back today to meet with the buchsemacher,,, maybe get the price nocked down. :IBCOOL:

Its not gonna happen.
The side lock pin is almost recessed a mm showing great wear and the pin for the right tube was busted off. It would have been a cool project gun but I want 75% gun 25% projoect, not the other way around.

I see a good number of sauers here and priced right. I really like them.....find a nice one.

What is the conversion on the Euro right now. I tried to look and it seems that it was about $200 US for that shotgun you were looking at. Is that right?
-
That is pretty close except for I get it for about 17% less because I dont have to pay german tax.
.74 exchange rate right now I think.
150(euro) X .81(tax) = 121.50(euro)
121.50 / .74(x rate) = $164.18
I know.... I should have bought it right? :bash: honestly the hardest part is getting it approved by the wife and the mechanics were pretty worn out. I should be able to find on for a similar price in much better shape to pass on to the grand kids.

It was pretty rough and looked like a fair bit of change to upgrage it.
