Hi All,

I'm trying to find a good place to hunt some coyotes.
I spent Saterday out scouting. Left the wet side and headed out I-90. Headed south along the west side of the Desert area and spent a few hours walking in.

Then, south to Lower Crab Creek. Again, spent several hours walking in.  Heading home, I west past Whiskey Dick (just had to see), and PSE's Wild House wind farm.

I'm new to the state and wondering- is it all scrub on the East side and similar to the areas I saw?  Also, how's the coyote hunting over the next few months?

My grand plan :-) is to use the coyote hunting to scout pheasant, quail, and deer. Am I looking in the right areas (without asking for any secret spots).

Thanks for any tips for a new guy in the state.  It's hitting me hard in the gas tank!

Thanks,
Carl

Thanks, Sundance.

I'm looking for input like that. I haven't ruled out the West side at all. I'm just trying to figure out where to go.

Thanks,
Carl
