caught these guys going at it,,, until i moved and scared them off :(
-
cock fight, that is one thing I have not seen with pheasants
-
Can we set up a blind and get some great images of them?
-
Denali--You better buy a lotto ticket. Your luck seems to be pretty good right now. Talk about opportunity----keep that camera handy. Sweet photos
If you don't mind sharing. Where was the burrowing owl?
-
The posturing, chasing and preparation for a rooster fight often covers several hundred yards and rarely on a repeat site. Tough to set up a blind to catch the action. A very good long lens, stealth and fast feet would give a better chance.

Great pics. denali. I've been lucky enough to see roosters fight a couple times on our property outside of pullman. Pretty neat!
-
A legal cock fight. :chuckle: Great pictures.

Super cool Denali....love those burrowing owls they crack me up when they pop out of the ground....

Thanks everyone
Quadrafire - pics are on a farm 2-3 mi N of Pasco, private property so I don’t feel comfortable being more specific.
h2ofowler - illegal cock fights in Pasco??? :chuckle: :chuckle:
Couple of years ago I was driving down an improved farm road about 30-35 mph and these two rosters were in the middle of the road in a knock down- drag out fight so I slowed down,,,slowed down some more? Thinking they would run or fly off, well they didn’t and I came to a complete stop 20-30 yds from them and sat there and watched them…. Of course no camera but a memorable experience.

Thats awesome Denali. I watched two chucks go at it today but didn't have a camera. I never do when something like that happens. Great captures.

Great pics! We had a Rooster pheasent around our place all day today. I was watching for a rival to fly in and have a cock fight. They are sure noisey right now!
