Title: Some firefighting shots
Post by: boneaddict on August 02, 2008, 12:33:28 PM: Here are some firefighting shots for you guys. These were taken int he early 90's, late 80's with a point and shoot 35 mm pocket camera withthe batteries duct taped in. LOL I was sending them to an interested friend back east, and thought you might all enjoy some of them.
Objects in the mirror are closer than what they appear.........I actually got painted red after taking this picture.

Post by: boneaddict on August 02, 2008, 12:34:58 PM: This was the leecher MTN fire. Taken from our haybarn I believe. We worked to get the hay in dry, then had to spend the night in it with a garden hose as chunks of burning bark were landing in it.

Post by: Head-shot on August 02, 2008, 11:56:25 PM: Them are pretty sweet Bone, Right now my Stepmom is out on a fire. She is a cat1 team engineer or something like that. She goes to the really big fires all over the US and sets up all of the stuff (food, latrines, sleeping tents and cots, showers, etc)for the firefighters. I sure respect the hell out of those guys, it's a tough job no question.

Post by: boneaddict on August 03, 2008, 01:27:17 PM: I was in the best shape of my life. That is a tough but very rewarding job. By the way, I am standing next to my wifes sister that I met about 10 years before I met my wife. Thank God I was a good little boy.
