Are there any elk in gmu 407/North Sound?  If so,  is there public access?

Thank you

You can look up all the previous hunter reported harvests... 407 didn't do well in 2010, I didn't check any previous years...

 :yeah:
You would have a better chance putting a tag on Bigfoot than tagging an Elk in 407  :twocents:

And wouldn't you know it, Whatcom County officially outlawed the hunting of Bigfoot back in 1992.

Here's the actual resolution document:

Creeper! That's funny right there B... Bring Creeper an 18 pack of Milwaukie's Best Ice Light and he'll give you a discount on that Bigfoot tag

I guess I'm one of the few that have seen the elusive elk in 407. If you drive through Acme and Vandzant in the summer you can see them feeding in the fields off hwy 9.  Lots of private property in that valley. If one was to get permission to hunt along the river, he might have a chance of seeing one.
Alot of guys do hunt the logging unit north of mosquito lake rd within the boundary . I've hunted it too, but never seen any elk just deer, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. :dunno:
