Well this weekend I get to go turkey hunting. Finally. This year will be special because I get to take my 9 year old grandson along for his first hunting trip. We are heading north of Spokane to my nephews place in Elk. Im excited for Cameron to hear the forest wake up for the first time.
I've seen the pics, read the stories and need to know if you guys left any birds for my grandson? :chuckle: :chuckle:
I want a tom this year. 2 of the last three years I've harvested a bearded hen.(see profile picture). Its not that I'm against shooting a bearded hen. But I like the the whole gobbler strutting ,drumming thing. Anyways I will post pics. Good luck to all you other late season hunters.

My buddy and I had a couple nice gobblers come in but were foiled by a barb wire fence that they wouldn't cross. I'm sure there is plenty of birds out there. Good luck. We are headed to a different spot this weekend. I hope we get another chance.

Still early not that close to late season yet, only going to get better!

:yeah:
With the late snow this year, the birds just seemed to be getting into the breeding cycle ... we thought we might be a week too early. Although we did good, I believe too that it will just get better.
