Title: grizzley archery
Post by: got2hunt on April 23, 2012, 09:20:17 PM
I bought a new bow and took it to a friends house to show it off. A friend of mine that has been bow hunting alot longer than me dry fired it, so the next day i drove to yakama and went to grizzley archery. Every time i go to yakama i allways stop in there and talk to mike. In my oponion i think that he has a great shop, he has more stuff than you can shake a stick at. Any how i told mike what had happend and that it wasnt even a week old. Mike didnt have the right string and cables so he disasembled and nother bow to give me the string and cables. I am so appricative of him and he is a stand up guy. I would like to say thank you to mike for all the help and will send any body to him.

I only have two complaints....one is his hours, it always seems he is closed when I stop by, and two, whenever I need arrows, so does everyone else :chuckle:   OK, the latter is my problem really not his.
I always try to support the shop when I can.   He might hurt a little when Cabelas comes in.

Bone I was in there the other day and asked him about his hours.  He said that he just quit his full-time job and is now open all day (not sure of the exact hours).  Before he was running the shop after work from like 4-9pm and in his spare time. Maybe that is why it seemed he was always closed :dunno: I also asked him about Cabelas coming to town and he thinks that he will take an initial hit but once people get used to Cabelas being in town they will realize his shop has most of the same stuff and probably even more.  I think his customers will stay loyal to the local bow shop.

Mike is a great business owner!!! Makes plenty of sense that he is still open and the other shop with WORTHLESS customer service is closed, GOOD RIDDANCE AS&J!!! Even with cabelas coming I will still buy all my archery stuff from Grizzly.

I will.  Thats how I roll.   Hell, its not like cabelas hasn't already been available to us already, and I still order from him versus online.....

Its good to hear about his hours.  That might also take some of the squeeze out of the evening.

I bought my first bow from mike at Grizzly. He was very helpful in every aspect explaining everything in detail to help me make my decision. I too had a friend of mine dry fire my bow I took it in to Mike and he got everything fixed in a timely manner and very good price. I will continue to buy all my archery gear from him.

As&j is still there, just a name change and the same guy still owns it. Everyone talks sh!t about his customer service but I have never had a problem there.

I thought I heard they sold all their stuff?  Either way I'm sure it's a great place when you are one of his buddies but if you aren't then you might as well not even go there.

I ordered a very expensive dozen arrows once, paid for them up front, waited a week.  Called him one morning and asked about them, he said he just got them and was going to call me.  I went in that afternoon and he had the balls to tell me that he had a buddy of his come in asking for the same arrows and he gave him the ones I ordered.  Pissed off but with no other choice told him I would wait for the next set which he said would be two days later.  After another five days with archery season starting the day after tomorrow, I went and got my money back.  Went to grizzly and had the same arrows the next day!  You're right wonderful service!!!  Sorry buglebuster, I just can't stand that place.  I have never once had a good experience there.

I had to take a class in Yakima on Tuesday and stopped by since it was close to my class. I think I may have to take me a two hour drive back to see Mike just to get some things. Definitely worth the drive in my opinion.

What ever happened to Ed Fernandez who used to own it? I used to shoot for him and Alpine when he was on the Wet Side.... :dunno:
