you sound like most of the guys I have fished next to down there....   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

To fish there... you will need a good casting or spinning rod 8.5-9 ft.  loaded with 15-17 lb. test.... and some Mag Warts.. color is not important as long as it is Fluorescent Orange, Tiger Strip w/ Fluorescent Orange, or the previous mentioned Fluorescent Orange with glitter (my favorite, and I have one lure that has caught 30 fish)...  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  Cast and retrieve non stop for hours, and wait for the freight train to hit the end of  your line..   Brad's Mag Warts are great.....

When I fished it two years ago we stayed away from the zoo and just anchored the boat and still fished and limited both days.

What would the fishing be like at night? I've never done it before, it seems the best time we have on the sound is right at dawn or dust.

Friday report. we hooked 4 and landed 3 to the boat. they lowered the water level by like 3 feet and upped the flow. fish count dropped to 1200 from what i heard... My dad caught his limit and I landed one. it was a loooong day... we fished from 5am to 5pm.... nice hens. my dad and i had a bet on who would catch the largest one... needless to say he bought the drinks  :IBCOOL: had a great time. i'll post pitchers tomorrow. BIG thanks to phil stephens. he's the man and it seemed like we were the only ones getting into fish on friday...

You forgot to mention the best place to do this on the Lewis is right in the ladder to the hatchery!  I couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw it.  The Gamie right beside me looked equally shocked :o

You guys were definitely the high liners that day....we fished the wind for 5 hours 5 rods and never had a sniff.  We said high to Phil from the road just above you at around noon at Drano just after your second fish.  Phil is one of the best, great job-  Prawns, herring, or mag lip???
