I've seen this happen once before, but heard of it happening many times before.

Last year I was fishing with some guys down by st. helens and they had a fish in the net at the side of the boat. It was a native and they were trying to get the hook out of it. A big ass sea lion came up from below and whacked the fish in the net and about got the guys hands!

i hope he chokes on that net

I was back down there like a week and a half later and the boat next to us got hooked up. It was a nice fish and it had been slow. I had not been around the seals much but the drag started screaming and the guy starts yelling there is a seal on it. Sure as *censored* it snaps off. He was pissed! Like anyone would be. The funny part was about a minute later this seal starts breaking the surface and splashing and going nuts. The guy picks up a pair of bino's and the seal had got the quick stuck in his face and one of the hooks looked to be in his eye ball!

Get that fish in the boat! What are you doin, fishin for lions? C'mon man!

The word is NATIVE :chuckle: I don't know about oregon but washington you are not supposed to bring nates out of the water when you can't keep them.
-
:yeah: Spoke to fast. Your right on point with that. Watchin the video I couldn't help but shriek, "Get it in the boat!" knowing what was coming. Got me to thinkin about new techniques for get'in me a lion when they figure it out and start sellin tags!
