Title: Wife Got her First Bird Last night
Post by: pendoreilleadventures on April 25, 2012, 08:13:08 AM: Not much of a story.... My wife and I got permission from a friend of ours to Hunt their property. They told us that some birds had been hanging out by one of their barns. So my wife work her way over to the barn and there was a big ole tom just standing there on the back side of the barn and she smoked at 10 yards. It was her first Kill. No big game yet, that come's this Fall :D Not sure on exact Beard length or spurs took it to taxi last night for a full mount. Beard is around 9+ inches and had around 3/4 inch spurs.

:yeah: My wife started hunting with me about 5 years ago and now I cant ever seem to go without her! Its not all bad though because she is a pretty good shot and doesnt mind the dirty work. You are doomed forever, but enjoy the time with her.

The state classifies all turkeys by county of kill ... easterns are located only in western Wa with Klickitat considered part of eastern Wa for turkey hunting purposes. East of the mountains Rios are found in southeast Wa (Blue Mtn area) and in North Lincoln County area. Otherwise it considered a Merriam. Shows on the spring turkey pamphlet.
