Post by: scoyoc5 on August 03, 2008, 08:29:44 PM
Well just got home from a great backcountry trip. finally got to try out all the new gear I kept asking you guys about. I went up with coonhound and had a blast hiking around white pass.I'm guessing we probably hiked maybe 13-14 miles ( I know it's not alot but for most of you guys but not bad for my first trip out  ;)  ) here's some pics hope you enjoy!

I recognize the country you're in.  We almost hiked to that lake this weekend ourselves.  I love that country.

That's a beautiful lake!
Happen to know if it holds any fish?

I did a day hike around Mt. Baker today...good to get out. Lotsa snow above 4k feet, though.

not sure about the fishing. If we go back up there before elk season I'm definitely taking a fishing pole.we camped at about 5400ft and hiked up to 6400ft and saw very little snow.we did see a few animals couple elk and goats.
