Ahhh the Goodman main line.. If you only knew! I could tell you some good stories. :brew: Just buy yourself a washington gazetter and save yourself some trouble. If the roads are blocked or a bridge is out you will find out soon enough. Trust me there is more logging roads and more ways to get from here to there than you can imagine. Just leave the pavement princess home. If you don't like washington pen stripes don't bring that rig. If you are planning on hunting there for elk and never have before.........Meet the jungle. I have had 6pt bull elk eating off the same huckelberry bush that I am hiding behind and never had a shot. 2ft away. Killed a raghorn 5pt and I don't even think my arrow cleared the rest. The elk over there love the reaprod. If you are lucky enough to find elk in a clearcut and don't catch them in the clearcut for a shot.......they are heading for the reaprod. This is usually where the non locals give up. They don't know the land or after 3 or 4 miles they usually don't know where they are. Be ready if you are a OP virgin and are used to hunting the dry side, you are in for a surprise. But if you got the time, are willing and don't mind a little of the thick stuff, you can kill a nice bull. My uncle has the #4 Rosie in the state from the goodman.

There are no Rayonier maps. Many years ago there was. Order a DNR quad map for the area from DNR. It will have a lot of the roads.

calwah steel let's here it. I have some land on the west side of the goodman mainline and am trying to get a good lay of the land. fished the creek and river a small amount but am more interested in bear and deer hunting in the early season.

Google rayioner hunting and look under spring bear they have maps there you can print off or upload to an iPhone is what I do and save to iBooks then you can pull it up on your phone and zoom in and it is clear and easy to use.. But like steelie said get ready for blocked rds or aka pin striping my truck rds. And washouts. I just pulled into my driveway now in Tacoma from being down there looking/hunting spring bear! Very thick and wet!

Where could you be spring bear hunting by the Goodman Mainline??!! Or even within 50 miles of it. Just curious if I missed out on a new hunt, but I do wish they had a spring bear hunt up here we got plenty of bears.nwhunter

Are you across from Wilson's?

up above old barlows 3600 line

The Copalis unit, and it's maps are no where near the Goodman. We no longer put out 'hunting' maps for the tree farm. If you spend some time in the area you won't need a map.
