Ill pm you Thursday and let you know if I can make it Friday or Saturday night, I figured with the rever high here in Yakima it would be high there too. Either way I need to get out and get me some kitty fish.

guess no one has a clue what they are catching :dunno: :chuckle: guess a catfish is just a catfish :chuckle:

What is the air and vanilla extract all about? :dunno: Tastes much better if you dip them in buttermilk, corn meal, and into the fryer!

I fish out there from the boat often. With the water doing is deal right now, its kinda iffy on catching. Once it clears back up, I have found a few holes that I sit over in the boat. Let me know whenever you want to go and I can pick you up from shore. I put in right by the house on the pasco side of the river and have a 1 minutes boat ride to where you are sitting on the bank...

Sounds like fun, I wish I lived closer.

Too bad I have to work this weekend or I would head down there. I have been looking for some places around here to get after the cats again. For bait, I have always used clams or mussels. Just go down to your local grocery store and ask for the day old ones that they cant sell anymore. Works awesome, and chicken livers too. Good luck, let us know how you do.

-
What is the average size of the cats you are catching?
-
He mentioned 5 lbs. I'm up for a trip down there once or twice this month. I'll send you a PM and see if we can figure out a day. Thanks for the offer!
-
Gonna head out there tonight about 7 30 , I have been sick as hell but need to get out of the damn house. Feeling a little better.
Machias, sounds good send me a pm and we can come up with a date and time....

I love cat fishing. I use to cat fish in Lake Tapps years ago, but the property is all bought now. They would lower the lake in the winter and I would make a big bonfire in the middle of the night and cat fish. I live in western washington and all the good spots are all gone. You are lucky that you can do that. Good Luck!
-
Im out fishing now if anyone wants to join me. Pm me illgive directions, right around bateman island

How did you end up doing last night?

RTSPRING
The water really needs to shape up from the snow melt off, Next few weeks it should really start to pick up....
-
RT, I tried to send you a PM but your box was full. I grew up in Richland in the 70's and 80's and used to fish cats at night. Thought we could compare notes. Back then it was easier to get down to the Yak.
-
I have cleaned out my inbox. sorry for the hassle for those that tried to message me...
-
I'd be down to do some catfishing. I still haven't fished over there at Bateman's yet. I'd be open to do it the weekend after this one if you're going then.
-
One time I tried to walk out on Bateman on a warm summer night and I've never seen so many mosquitos. It was brutal. I didn't even stop walking just to stay alive.
-
watch out for the huge, dead, bloated pig with no head that floated up against the bank out by the point.... it's nasty! :chuckle:
