I already got a pretty good idea how big he is but lets see what you guys think :chuckle:
And no he is not in WA so the bait bbl is perfectly legal ;)
-
That bear is 336 pounds, 6 foot 4 inches. He's a toad! Nice bear!!
-
Uhhh...big.... :o
-
Nice Bear!! I was to say 325lbs 6ft'er. I take him in a heart beat!
-
I'll go 285. I know nothing about feild judging bears lol. Looks like a bruiser to me though! Is he dead???
-
Very nice bear.... photos can make critters look bigger or smaller, but in these photos he looks great, he looks as fat as a fall bear, I guess 350ish to 400ish and within a couple inches of 7 feet.
How wide is his front pad? 5 1/2" to 6" :dunno:
-
315.....He's a fatty!
-
Does this bait barrel make my @$$ look big? YES!!!! What a nice looking bear!!! Is it Canada or Idaho? Just curious.
-
he hits the 400 lb club Im thinking, the bear is thick...
-
Yea the more I look at him the heavier he gets. :)
-
Im not sure he will score real high, but what a frigging pig...
-
I saw a show were the guide said if his back is over the second ring on the barrel he is a shooter...This bear is a giant! 400+ I bet
-
If that barrel was filled with lard it would weigh just shy of 400#. Dang fine bear. I would guess 370-380# live weight. Though he does seem to get bigger every time I go back and look.
I'd definately pull the trigger on him without a second glance. Besides his size the coat looks flawless. Might not measure out too big on skull, but that wouldn't stop me from tagging that beaut.
-
I wish you a pic of him sideways behind the barrel. Regardless, he is a toad! X2
-
I looked again and I'm going to go out on a limb and say 400+. I know there are very few 400 pounder's out there and they get misjudged often, but he is just massive all over.
-
I assume this is a fall bear.
If he is a spring bear "Wholly Crap!" He'd be a 430+ dough ball come October.
-
I need to know if this is a Fall bear? Looks like brown leaves on ground and that bear is freakin large!! I would say 7 1/2 feet and 400+ and it's a fall bear. If not, I would love to see him in the fall.......
-
RadSav this picture was from last week.
my buddy Has this bear on his bait but He had to wait until the 15th for the season to open know we are at work until next week. The last bear he took off this bait was 6'9" this bear dwarfs him  im guessing 7'2" and mid 400
as far as scoring well I think you are forgetting your looking at a 7' bear he is a solid 20" bear probably 21" :twocents:
Bearpaw my buddy tells me the track from this bear is about an 1.5" wider than his hand so pushing 6"
and he is not in canada or Id :chuckle:
-
I'm still going with mid 300s...but I hope he gets to tell us exactly what he weighs. What a great bear.
-
must be on a reservation or alaska, hope he gets him, keep us posted...
-
you guys are relentless on were he is lol he is in WY :chuckle:
-
:yike: :yike: :yike: Damn, OK, now I think he may be 400lbs. Anyway I hope he gets to put a tag on him and post some pics when he lays flat in the dirt.
-
you guys are relentless on were he is lol he is in WY :chuckle:
:chuckle: sweet, hope he gets him...
-
you guys are relentless on were he is lol he is in WY :chuckle:
You should see the bear that a guy on Royaltines website took in WY last year. 600 pound black bear, thing was massive!!! I hope he gets this bear and can tell us exactly how big he is. What ever it turns out to be it's bear to be proud of for sure!
-
you guys are relentless on were he is lol he is in WY :chuckle:
yeah but how about some GPS coordinates
-
:chuckle:
-
That is an absolute gagger of a bear!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I'm saying close to 400 just picture him in the fall... Good God!!!
-
Crikey that's a big bear! I'm guessing four bills easy.
-
If he's more than 20 1/4" I'll buy each of you a bottle of Crown. Should shoot him with a bow. Last I checked Wyoming (assuming that's where) did not have an archery kill exceeding high 19's.
As a spring bear that's a true brute. Almost makes you want to take a chance and wait till fall. ALMOST!!!
-
This bear was also taken in WY last year by a guide who just graduated from Royal Tine Guide School. They saw this bear from a few miles away and it took 2 hours to ride close enough for a shot. 7 foot 7 inches and they estimated it weighed 600 pounds.

Dam near looks like a grizz machias with how big he is and his color phase, awesome looking blacky.
Both are excellent bears. Hopefully your buddy can get him down long range so we can see what he really weighs. Ill say hes 375
-
That bear is bigger than 350 pounds. I killed a 350+ pound bear a few years ago in the spring and this bear looks quite a bit bigger. I'd say 425ish. Put him in the dirt and tell us.
-
That's 400+... The head looks small because the body is so big....
-
He appears to be just a little bigger than the bear you mis¥$*%#{¥%< here last year.......... :chuckle:
-
I would say that bear above looks part grizz!
-
That's 400+... The head looks small because the body is so big....
That last picture was great and definately gives you the feeling he might be over 400#. Without question in the fall he'll top that mark, plus. But I am still not seeing 21". I would be absolutely thrilled to be wrong. If you guys harvest him I most certainly hope I am!
-
WHEN you guys harvest him I most certainly hope I am!
-
That's 400+... The head looks small because the body is so big....
:yeah:
The heads gonna be over 20" easy.
-
He appears to be just a little bigger than the bear you mis¥$*%#{¥%< here last year.......... :chuckle:
lol if that bear I missed was that big i would have TKO'd him because i missed by centimeters hahaha
-
That barrel is 23" in diameter, an NBA basket ball is 9 3/8" and a soccer ball is 8 5/8". A 19" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 12"X7". A 21" bear skull perfectly balanced would be 13"X8" or just over 10% larger. In elk that would be similar in difference between a 365 and a 400 bull. He may be close in length, but I do not see him having the width.
Each B&C awards book seems to have a couple WY bear in it. So the state definately produces some in excess of 21".
-
I would say 400 or more and atleast 7 foot.
-
Huge i dont care what his skull scores that would make a nice life size mount

I've been hoping to get word from LR7mm that I owe him and his buddy some booze. Definately a bet I would like to lose. Anybody hear if they got that bear?
-
Pretty sure that bear is still alive, but there is another bear that went to heaven, that is in excess of 20" by another member of the group.
-
chunky boy !!!
