Title: Peep sight alignment?
Post by: DIYARCHERYJUNKIE on May 18, 2012, 09:19:47 AM
I got a tubeless peep and it's a little left.  It says to turn half a twist at a time till desired position is reached.  Is this at full draw?  It only a little twist to get it perfect but that direction loosens the twist in my string ang doesn't stay. If I twist half a turn in the direction to tighten the twist will it stay and should I do it at full draw?  Thanks.

Turn the string half a twist at a time. You will need a press. Or move individual strands of the string to either side of the peep.

Sweet I realigned my d loop a little offset an the peep sits perfect.  Thanks for the string trick though I might still need it after shooting for awhile.

another trick is to pull back a quarter or half draw and pop a screw driver in your cam and let it rest on your limb, this will let you adjust your string without a press... good for quick string replacement/adjustments out in the Field also

:chuckle: :chuckle: once you get it in line where you want it you will still need to TRAIN it to keep it perfect everytime you pull it back ...the string loop is for sure the way to do it like stated above ...but I also always turn it to where it should be BEFORE I knock an arrow ....if you do this all the time while practicing it will automatically train itself to stay there  ... :twocents: never had a problem with mine lining up ...

If you use a horizontal peep ( like RAD Super Deuce ), as opposed to an angled peep, it is much easier to train your peep, with or with out a string loop. I shoot off the string with zero issues, 3 different hunting bows, all the same set up.

I tied a good new one an it holds just right.  I've been shooting 50+ arrows a day.  With no slip at all.  Thanks for the help.
