Title: Need a nicer camera... hummingbirds
Post by: lokidog on May 21, 2012, 08:58:25 AM: I think I need a better camera. How good could these be with something nice? This is with a poiunt and shoot, no zoom, from about 10 inches away.

I wanted a nice digital SLR, but not all of the bulk. It would really enhance your humming bird shots by be being able to adjust the aperture and shutter speed..... not to mention the quality of the lens would be much better.

I had one give me a wet willie last year while filling a feeder.

Unfortunately, I can't justify the cost of a new camera right now.... :(

Didn't work too well w/o the flash as they were backlit under the porch roof.
