was out preparing for the fall and came across a bunch of locals throughout the day.  Though I'd share some of them.

:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  I'm sure you've seen this so you can picture it in your head, (insert face with lips puckered and pointing in a direction while head is leaning back and saying) "over that away!" :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:  Let's just say somewhere in the Observatory, I mean sorry no deer here, the colockum. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I think you misunderstood.  I wasn't asking the location, I was asking if those were "benchleg blacktails".  The center deer has a black tail.  The other two look like pure mulies.

aaahhh......  thanks for the explanation   now that you mentioned it there was about 3 or 4 that I can definitely say were "benchlegs" besides this group.  Got into deer but not so much as far as elk.  Seen them from a distance and listened to them chat with each other but didn't get within my cameras capabilities of taking pics.  I don't have a multi-hundred dollar camera, lense, equipment or set-up like some :chuckle:  but it takes pics nonetheless :chuckle:  and it's good for me. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Yes, yes it is.  Only when deer are near does it blossom and if you're lucky enough to see these yellow deer lily then you know deer are definitely in the area.
