There are state parks around that area of Hood Canal you might want to look into for clamming.  If I'm not mistaken there are a few private tide lands scattered around the area, so you would need to know where boundaries are.  The parks should have their stuff marked.

There is boat launch in Union and Potlatch ,they are primitive ,no docks ,nothing . You can do a lot of crabbing around and fishing ,there is oyster farms etc.... You're competing with the natives ,but  you can get some fish IMO. Check the rules ,don't know much about the dates ...... I'm sure there is someone on here ,who lives around and could get you better info.

Tawana State Park has a nice ramp set up. Get a tide chart and read it. Allot of the primitive ramps are out of water at low tide. You will need to time your launch and recover to the tide. Lots of places along the Potlatch to Hoodsport side to clams. Oysters are pretty much every where.

There are several public beaches for clams and oysters, I suggest looking them up in the regs to see which is closest and what is in season. There is the union boat launch, and potlatch boat launch right below the power house. Pretty decent cutthroat fishing along the banks, other than that the fishing is tough until september when the silvers start running. Crabbing can be great around union/potlatch.
