I heard and briefly saw some bear hound hunters today just south of Taidnapam Park along Riffe Lake in Lewis County. From the hounds baying treed, then a rifle shot I'm guessing they got one.
Would this have been a special damage hunt via the WDFW or another timber co. just looking the other way?
Thanks in advance.

If it was timber company ground they were probably hunting on a damage permit which is legal.

Cold be a damage permit as stated. However, doesn't hurt to call the wdfw and report. You never know. Does not matter how you feel about hound hunting. The same guy's that do it illegally are same one's who will poach a deer or elk.

I'd like to be on that list myself.
Any idea where a person goes to find out? My looking on the WDFW website came up dry.
