Randy Ulmer's Nevada Buck!!! 34 1/4 inch spread!!! This should get your heart pumping!!!
-
That is a dandy...
-
Now thats a toad!!!
Is Randy on the site or a non-res?
-
Nice! I wonder what that cost him?
-
The cost of the tag. Randy Ulmer is the shiznit. I think he is even more hard core than cam hanes. I know Id much rather hunt with him.. He is also a championship archer. Ive seen this buck before, in print. Yeah, its huge.

Are you sure that is not this years buck? Ulmer kills a Nevada gaint every year with his bow.
-
That buck is most likely from unit 231 in Nevada its actually a pretty easy draw for acrhery. 3-5k for a landowner deer tag. :twocents:

That's Ulmers 08 Buck. Here is one taken last week on the Strip!!! He measured 219 typical and 241 non-typical.
-
This is the 08 Arizona Raffle Buck!!!

All of those deer make me sweat.

Dude your (https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi94.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fl89%2FMuleySniper%2FBongrip.gif&hash=9c90c62232d1f4298d51abe436514a564d3cdf45) if you think Ulmer is more HC than Cameron Haines. Since when has Haines hired top notch guides to help him kill trophies? Ulmer is a fantastic archer and hunter, but no way is he as hard core.

Maybe so, but Id much rather hunt with Ulmer. Seems like you would learn more from him. Besides, he is the youngest guy in the Archer's Hall of Fame. Ive read stories where he just flat out runs for a few miles to catch up to some elk. Crazy.
-
that top typical in velvet is a nice buck, looks alot like a buck my uncle shot a year or two ago, that raffle buck in arizona kind of looks like the deer my aunt got..........
BOTH IN ARIZONA THOUGH.........they grow em big there, freaking dessert bucks are big........only other place i know they grow em bigger is in colorado just on the otherside of where my reletives hunt in AZ.........
man great looking velvet racks, dont see alot of big bucks in velvet know do you........

I dissagree... Randy Ulmer and his partner are freakin studs when it comes to killing muleys... EVERY year they knock down STUD multiple bucks...
Who did Randy hire on any of his buck hunts if you know... just curious as I've never seen him pictured with a guide.... :dunno:

Don't even get me started on the Cam subject!!! :bash: :chuckle: Randy is a great guy and hunts hard! They both hunt hard no doubt and I wouldn't say one hunts harder than another by any means!? I will say that Cam trains harder for his hunts that Randy does, but I think that each are great hunters and deserve mass loads of respect no matter which one your talking about! They have killed more animals than most any of us on here and I use the word most lightly because I don't know how many each of you have killed but I sure as hell know they have killed a lot more than I have - so my hat's off to both of them! :brew:

Well here is one story about Ulmer hunting with an outfitter....Dont use the excuse that they were just "buddies" either. That doesn't matter. Still a Guide and an outfitter service.
"Ulmer and good friend Craig Crogh, outfitter and owner of Mogollon Rim Outfitting in Arizona, arrived in east-central Nevada's White Pine County seven days before the Aug. 28 archery elk season opener. "

Thats just one story I found online in two minutes...
Im not knocking the guy, he is first class and kills monsters. You are just not comparing apples to apples when you compare Ulmer and Haines thats all. I feel Haines does more leg work and scouting on his own, he hunts the majority on public land and 99% of the time he hunts solo. Ulmer has a reputation for dishing out big money for landowner tags. Fine. I personally don't think that is as hardcore as a public land DIY hunt. :twocents:
-
Randy has hunted and killed many big buck over the years with his friend and guide Greg crogh.
-
More respect to the DIYers out there - definitely more pride in the trophy even if it's not quite as big. Nothing against guided as we don't all have oodles of time to do the legwork. Don't think Randy's out scouting all summer with his schedule. . .
-
Boy Ulmer certainly takes some piggies doesn't he? It always cracks me up when everybody jumps on the bandwagon hammering a guy they don't even know. From what I've heard he's a damned hard hunter, and I know he is one hell of an archery shot, that is a for sure. Most the guys hammering him for buying landowner tags and using the help of a friend, whether it's a guide or not, couldn't kill the bucks/bulls he's killed even if they had the opportunity he's had.
-
:yeah:
-
Who has hammered Ulmer? I havn't read anything on this thread thats speaks negatively about the guy. I only gave my opinion on who I thought was a more "hard core" hunter. Man, some of you guys take tis *censored* so personally like he's a relative or something. Maybe I have a different opinion what hard core is I guess. I like em both, but I don't want to sleep with either of them like some other guys. ;)

Thanks for the link. I'd forgotten his partners name, but it is this Greg (not Craig). As far as I know Greg doesn't do a whole lot of scouting for Randy and they together are two world class hunters. I've never met either of these guys or Haines, but I'll agree that they're all WAY out of my league and if I had the money I'd be in Randy's shoes too buying landowner tags if I had the time every year... but that's just my .02

Who gives a *censored*! They are fairchased killed TOADS! I'm not real big on mule deer hunting but those bucks give me WOOD!
My dog is bigger is bigger than your dog! They are both great hunters in the hunting industry that I am envious of, I would love to be able to do what they do. You don't do what they do for a living without the dedication. Phonies and cheats are found out especially in the public hunting eye. The good ones must be above average joe hunter ethics, morals and hard work or they will be found out. As far as using outfitters, I know Cameron Haines has used them for pack services, that's just smart hunting. If you hunt the steep and deep and don't have stock of your own you got to get the meat out. As well if Mr. Ulmer has purchased land owner vouchers or outfitter tags, so what! You don't win championship archery tournaments like he has if your a slacker. I just get a little tired of these types of arguements. Sorry about the rant, ......... I need to kill something!

Muleysniper, R U saying you wouldn't sleep with Ulmer if he'd get you onto one of those huge Muley bucks? ;) :)
