Really, 17 points for me NOT SELECTED. I am happy to see willipa drew, great job. I hope you kill a monster. My dad with 12 points in archery for an area with 101 permits....... NOT SELECTED. So no, the system doesn't always reward those with points. Congrats to those who drew! I have to go cry in my whiskey water now.......
-
My brother drew tucannon archery with 18 points. Gonna be a fun fall. nwhunter

That is Awesome! make sure we hear some stories.

There's no elk in the Blues!! Shoulda put in for the Prescott unit! I was driving home from spokane this afternoon and right before the boise cascadeplant there in Wallula, 3 big branch bulls jumped in front of me. They made it across the highway and were headed for the columbia.
-
Congrats!
-
My draw turned out to be the West Wenaha! Second choice behind Dayton, but not complaining :) My brother drew same tag a couple years ago, steeeeeeep, but what a hunt it was! He harvested a big heavy 6x6, love that unit.
-
Man I would love to have that tag, that is in my back yard.
-
Antler griwth should be good. Sitting up here right now glassing for a spring bear.
-
If you are up scouting around Table Rock LO this summer stop in and say hello. I'll be there after July 1 until September...I might even spot some elk from there. :chuckle:
Ken
-
Thanks Kenjo, if I make it there that early I will definitely look you up!!
-
there's a couple of landowners you can pay for access that will put you in the same place as some monsters, but it isn't cheap.

Only landowner I've heard of in West Wenaha is the Umatilla National Forest?

:chuckle: Last time I checked he was a private landowner that charges to much to go on his land ;)
Good luck on the tags! No bull for me this year so I'm going to wish you luck and be as supportive as I can!! *censored*s :bash: :chuckle:

I guess Teepee is one of those pay-Uncle-Sam-to-park kind of sites, isn't it. I see on the Umatilla National Forest site that they are planning on implementing this pay-to-park at 12 more trailheads and 12 more campsites in the Forest. Anybody know more info?
Oh, yeah. Good luck on the tag!
-
I heard on the news the other day that they made a big trail system out of walla walla, Can't remember the name though

They did. They now call it Hwy 12.

Let me know if the trail I'm going in on is one of them so I know to look under my wipers when back at the truck ;)

Horses? I thought that is what your hunting partner is for. When my brother dropped his bull a few hundred yards from the bottom we sure could have used some horses. Two straight days of packing. We earned that bull. Good luck and I would at least give mtn. cook a shout.

Willapawapiti, you can confirm my reservations for the first five or six days of your hunt. I promise to try and get in better shape so you won't have to leave me for the wolves.
