just wondering if some of the others that got drawn for the archery goose tag wanna hook up and do a scouting trip to split the gas bill to save money for both sides.

Hit the wilderness, walk around. Bulls are everywhere up there. Easier to find during the season, but you can find evidence that they are around.

Come to find out, I was actually drawn for Bumping cow. Swear when I looked on website before it said Colockum. I know the area I want to hunt, so doubt I will need to do much scouting. I'll be hunting the wilderness about 1.5 mile off highway 12. Will probably make a camping trip up there next week.

what days next week? ide like to get up there and do a little walkin around.

There is still lots of snow up in the bumping, not sure how far in you can get...

I have a goose prairie muzzleloader permit. Last week I went over there and found no snow in the backcountry. The 1808 road is still washed out 1.35 miles from the trailhead. I walked into a herd of cows and calves on a ridgetop. I saw a cow with two calves following her. I never saw an elk with twins so I wonder if the kids were just hanging out together and the other mom was near. I noticed my knees hurt this week, it's tough getting old. This unit is new to me so I'm interested in what others observe.

We'll probably camp Saturday and Sunday at the trailhead. Do some day hikes up.
