Which gun handles the best for reloads? I have about $600.00 to spend on a 20 gauge right now and want to get a good one that can handle reloads. I have been thinking about an 870, but I do not know anyone to see how they handle the reloads. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Usually you work up a load for the gun, not work up a gun for the load.
Do you have a bunch of loads worked up or something?

I would go with an 870. You can always load them one at a time if you need to.

If you reload long enough you know about loading/shooting one at a time. :chuckle:

One thing though, I wouldn't spend near that much on an 870. You can buy some nice ones and spend a lot or buy a "work" gun and spend maybe $200.
I do like nice looking 870's though. I have a 12ga lite contour (Wingmaster) that I put an 18.5" barrel with sights on. If I need to grab and sawed off shotgun, I want it to look nice.

Breach loading shotguns handle reloads better than guns with tube magazines. Sometimes the rim of a reload swells and will stick in a tube mag, it won’t do that in a breach loader.
