scoped a few rifles yesterday, one of them was my 375 ruger, i only had enough time before dark to fire it on an old logging rd. the recoil was alot lighter than i thought it was gonna be. thats only using 270 gr bullets though, i bet the 300 grainers punch a lil more.

Was it the African model or the short barreled Alaskan? The place you buy it from, they give you a good deal? Cheapest Ive seen is in the ID Cabela's for sumthing like 850?

the short barrel with the hogue rubberized stock matte finish on gun. ruger name is hawkeye alaskan, i bought it in the lacy cabelas, sportsman warehouse actually is cheaper on 90% of thier guns but i didnt want to wait for one, cabelas had em on the shelf.
