This guy picked the wrong farmers field to play in....couple hours of stalking we got him to the ground. Only a few fences suffered his rath for being in his way before we got him.

Nice job!
-
Great job.
It just looks sooooooo out of place for a bear to be in that type of area. I am constantly amazed on here.
Good job guys!
-
Yeah seriously it does ... Nice shot placement ! and how far did he go ? :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: Nice bear !!! :yeah:
-
Yeah it was very out of place came down off the Columbia Hills. He didn't go more than 30 yards after the shot before trying to chew his own leg off to get to that bullet.
-
Sure takes the drama out of having to dive into thick brush after a wounded bear! :chuckle:
-
Depredation permit? :dunno:
Or is this picture from last year during bear season?

The guys were after a bear last year in what we call "oak flats". Never know what your gonna find around there!
The wheat stubble made me think this kill was from years past. Nice looking bear, Congrats!
-
Nice pics!

I have a buddy that hunts bear in Alberta and they shoot them in the Wheat fields. He says the farmers want them gone. :dunno:
-
Ive hunted in Alberta and the farmers almost beg you to kill the bears they roll around in the wheat fields and destroy alto of crop for them they basically consider a bear a pest animal...
-
they are all over the wheat down by waitsburg, ive seen 2 of them in the middle of wheat stubble.
-
and..................................... he didn't get the picnic basket !!!!!!!
