Title: coweeman january permit
Post by: elkhunter3178 on June 17, 2012, 05:31:02 PM: hey guys got drawn for the 2013 january 1st - 16th cow hunt. Anyone hunt this in the past? wondering how access was, how the hunt was etc. any info would really help in planning.

Post by: mtman on June 17, 2012, 06:48:20 PM: drew it two years ago, and my wife drew it this year. you will get a packet with all the info soon. all the gates are locked but they put combo locks on the day before the hunt. they tell you to go to a certain gate and others will go to other gates. Once your in there you can pretty much go anywere. It took me about 20 min to fill my tag. the elk are all over that time of the year. Good luck

Thaty should be an easy tag to fill, lots of clearcuts, get up high in the morning and glass, you won't havbe any trouble.
